As a Managing Director and Partner at Steward Partners Global Advisory, Timothy applies his more than 20 years of financial planning and investment management experience to serving executives of public and private companies.
As a Certified Financial Planner™ professional, he has attained the prestigious CFP® certification, one of the most respected financial planning credentials among consumers and the recognized standard of excellence in personal financial planning.
Prior to joining Steward Partners, Timothy was a Senior Vice President and Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley in Boston for nine years, where he was part of the Executive Services Group and Business Owner Executive Council.
Earlier in his career, Timothy worked at UBS Financial Services for seven and a half years, and Merrill Lynch in Andover, Massachusetts, for three and a half years. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Vermont.
Before working in the financial services industry, Timothy worked with his family business – a bed-and-breakfast in North Stonington, Connecticut. From a young age, he learned the value of hard work and having an entrepreneurial spirit.
Timothy lives in Cohasset, Massachusetts, with his wife, Sarah, and their children, Reagan and Brodie. In his free time, he enjoys spending time on Cape Cod during the summer and skiing at Stowe Mountain in Vermont in the winter.
“The Davis family is an active one, where the ‘family business’ is managing investment properties in Chatham, Massachusetts, on Cape Cod and in Stowe, Vermont – two places close to our hearts,” said Timothy. “Ours is also a charitable family, as we are deeply involved in education and the local cancer support community.”
Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, Certified Financial Planner™, CFP® (with plaque design) and CFP® (with flame design) in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
